How this site works

We list pawn shops from public business listings in the 139 US cities where people search for them most, with address, phone, website and opening hours. Where a state publishes its list of licensed pawnbrokers, we match each shop against it and mark it state-licensed with a link to the source: 734 shops so far, in Texas, Ohio, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Oregon and Mississippi.

The calculators use each state's own limits: the statute or the regulator's rate chart, cited on every state page. They show the maximum a shop can charge. Your pawn ticket, which the shop must give you, sets the real terms.

Questions

How do I find a pawn shop open now near me?

Enter your ZIP code or press Use my location, then turn on the Open now filter. Opening hours are checked against the local time of each shop.

How much does a $500 pawn loan cost?

It depends on the state. At the legal maximum, a $500 loan costs $75 for the first month in Texas, $125 in Florida (25% per 30 days) and $110 in Tennessee (2% interest plus a 20% fee). Use the calculator for your state.

Do pawn shops check credit?

No. A pawn loan is secured by the item you leave, so there is no credit check. If you do not repay, the shop keeps the item and the debt ends.

How long does a pawn shop keep my item?

Usually one month for the loan plus a grace period set by state law: 30 days in Texas and Florida, 60 days in North Carolina and South Carolina, 10 days in Georgia.

Is this site a pawn shop?

No. Pawn Shops Map is an independent guide. We do not lend money and we are not affiliated with any pawn shop or chain.
